Description

Asiaticoside B is a cavity-fighting ingredient that has been shown to have neuroprotective and immunomodulatory effects. It is used as a skin active ingredient in cosmetics, and has been shown to be effective against nitrite levels in the skin. Asiaticoside B is an extract from Cimicifuga foetida, which is traditionally used for treating gynecological problems. Asiaticoside B can be purified by preparative high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and its chemical structure was determined using nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy. Clinical studies have demonstrated that it can be used as an anti-inflammatory agent and has exhibited significant therapeutic effects on patients with psoriasis.
