Description

Gentamicin C1a is an antimicrobial agent that inhibits bacterial growth by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit. Gentamicin C1a has been shown to be effective against a number of bacteria, including those causing infectious diseases like tuberculosis and staphylococcus. The structural analysis of this compound revealed that it is a semisynthetic gentamicin analog. This compound has not been shown to cause any adverse effects on human serum or toxicity studies.
