Description

N-acetyl glucosamine is a chemical substance that is found in the skin. It is a component of skin conditions such as psoriasis and ichthyosis. N-acetyl glucosamine also has been shown to stimulate the production of growth factors, which may have an effect on melanogenesis. In addition, it can be used as a treatment for cellulose acetate membranes and fatty acids. N-acetyl glucosamine is often used cosmetically as well, with some studies showing that it can act as an effective sunscreen ingredient.
