Informations sur le produit
6-Methoxy-5-isoquinolinecarbonitrile (6MICA) is a nitroheterocyclic compound with the chemical formula CHNOC. It is a solid that darkens in air. 6MICA has been used in organic synthesis as a building block for other compounds and as an intermediate in the production of formaldehyde, 3-methoxybenzaldehyde, cyanide, nitromethane, hydrochloric acid, condensation, cuprous, dehydrogenation and bromination. The low temperature hydrogenation of 6MICA gives 2-methylquinoline.
The condensation of 6MICA with ethyl acetate at high temperatures leads to the formation of 2-(2'-methoxyphenyl)-4-nitrophenol (CAS#101919-26-8).
The raney nickel catalyst can be used for the reduction of 6MICA to 5-(3'-nitrop
