Informations sur le produit
5-(1-Methyl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)-3-[3-(4-pyridinyl)phenyl]-furo[3,2-b]pyridine is a potent and selective inhibitor of the human immunodeficiency virus type 1 integrase. It is used as a research tool to study the role of integrase in HIV infection and for the development of new drugs to treat AIDS. 5-(1-Methyl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)-3-[3-(4-pyridinyl)phenyl]-furo[3,2-b]pyridine binds to the catalytic site of integrase and prevents integration of viral DNA into host cell DNA. It has been shown to be selectively active against HIV type 1 but not against other retroviruses such as human T lymphotropic virus type 1 or simian immunodeficiency virus.
