• Description: BMS-8 is a monoclonal antibody that binds to the death ligand, TNF-α. It has been shown to be effective in treating cancer cells that have an overactive PD-1 pathway, which leads to cell death by inhibiting the production of proteins vital for cell division. BMS-8 has also been shown to inhibit the activity of ctla-4 and pd-l1, molecules that are involved in the TNF-α pathway. The binding of BMS-8 to these molecules has been shown to inhibit their activation and downstream signaling pathways.
