• Description: AZ9482 is a small molecule that binds to the acceptor site of the enzyme DNA polymerase β. It has potent antitumor effects, and shows high selectivity for tumor cells over normal cells. AZ9482 inhibits the growth of tumor cells in low nanomolar concentrations. This compound has been shown to inhibit the synthesis of DNA, RNA and proteins in cancer cells, which may be due to its ability to bind to the polymerase acceptor site. AZ9482 has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties by inhibiting nuclear factor-kappaB (NF-κB) activation.
