5-Methoxy-1,2,3,4-Tetrahydronaphthalene (5MTNT) is a linker that binds to the nucleus of tumor cells. It has been shown to have an antiproliferative effect on tumor cells in vitro. The uptake of this ligand by the cells was observed using cytometry and fluorescence microscopy. 5MTNT is a fluorescent marker that can be used for in vivo imaging of tumors. This ligand is also a high affinity ligand for the reticulum, which may be useful for treating patients with liver failure.
