Description :
Cyclohexane-1,1-dicarboxylic acid is a cyclohexane ring that contains one carboxyl group. This acid is soluble in organic solvents and forms salts with alkali metals. It reacts with hydrochloric acid to form the salt cyclohexanecarboxylic acid hydrochloride and can be used as a sealant or a coating for zirconium oxide. Cyclohexane-1,1-dicarboxylic acid has been used in pharmaceutical preparations as a synergistic interaction with malonic acid.
