• Description: 2-Phenyl-5-oxazolone is a chemical compound that has been used as a starting material for the synthesis of various other organic compounds. Caproic acid is a metabolite that is formed from 2-phenylacetamide during its conversion to 2-phenyl 5 oxazolone.
