Benzo[D][1,2,3]thiadiazol-7-amine is an organic compound that belongs to the group of diazo compounds. It is a colorless solid that can be obtained by cyclization of diazotized benzene with sulfuric acid. The yield of this reaction is high (97%). Benzo[D][1,2,3]thiadiazol-7-amine has been used for the production of diazo compounds and yields strong aromatic amines in rearrangements with nitrous acid. It also undergoes hydrolysis to give benzoic acid and ammonia.
