Description :
4-Methoxythioanisole is a hydroxylated naphthoic acid that can be used as an anticancer drug. It binds to DNA by a nucleophilic attack and inhibits the synthesis of RNA, leading to cell death. 4-Methoxythioanisole is used in the treatment of cancer, tuberculosis, and other diseases. 4-Methoxythioanisole has been shown to inhibit the growth of corynebacterium glutamicum by inhibiting its enzyme reactions. This drug has been shown to have a high degree of selectivity for cancer cells, with little or no effect on normal cells. The logistic regression model was used to fit the kinetic data for this drug and found that one parameter in particular (the activation energy) had a significant influence on the rate of reaction.
