Description :
Ormeloxifene is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug that is used as a contraceptive. Ormeloxifene binds to the estrogen receptor and prevents ovulation by blocking the production of luteinizing hormone (LH). It also has minimal toxicity and does not cause any side effects, including blood clots or breast cancer. Ormeloxifene is a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) with a pyrazole ring that blocks tumor growth in mice by decreasing mitochondrial membrane potential. It also inhibits bowel disease through its water vapor effect. The matrix effect of ormeloxifene on epithelial cells may be useful for treating cancers such as leukemia and breast cancer.
