3-Decyn-1-ol is a synthetic chemical with a monolayer structure. This compound has been shown to have antioxidant properties, which is likely due to its ability to scavenge free radicals. 3-Decyn-1-ol is an intermediate in the biosynthesis of fatty acids and pheromones, and can also promote the formation of fluorine compounds that are toxic for humans at high concentrations.
