Description

Dopamine is a catecholamine neurotransmitter that is used to treat hemodynamic balances, poor perfusion of organs and hypotension. This neurotransmitter is derived from tyrosine and is important in regulating movement. Dopamine produces positive chronotropic and inotropic effects on the myocardium, resulting in increased heart rate and cardiac contractility.
