Description

6-Methoxytricin is a flavonoid that has been shown to have inhibitory effects on the cation channel and inflammatory diseases. 6-Methoxytricin has also been shown to have cytometric analysis and nmr spectroscopic data, which showed that it inhibits the production of ROS in macrophages through inhibition of NADPH oxidase activity. 6-Methoxytricin can be found in vivo in plants such as Cirsimaritin, Pectolinarigenin, Apigenin, and Eucalyptol. It has been shown that 6-methoxytricin inhibits the production of eucalyptol from ethanol extract of leaves from Eucalyptus globulus. This compound also has an inhibitory effect on caffeoylquinic acids, which are important for inflammation.
