Silodosin-d4 is a potent inhibitor that has been used in the treatment of cancer. It is an analog of silodosin, which acts as a kinase inhibitor and induces apoptosis in cancer cells. Silodosin-d4 has been shown to inhibit the activity of the protein kinase C (PKC) family, which are involved in tumor growth and progression. It also inhibits the activity of other kinases such as mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK), AKT, and extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK). In Chinese medicinal practices, silodosin-d4 has been used as an anticancer agent due to its ability to induce apoptosis and inhibit tumor growth. Silodosin-d4 can be detected in human urine after administration of iloprost, a prostacyclin analogue commonly used for pulmonary hypertension therapy.
