• Description: N-[4-(3-Amino-2H-pyrazolo[3,4-b]pyrazin-6-yl)phenyl]-2,3-dichlorobenzenesulfonamide (NSC 75968) is a cytosolic calcium channel blocker. It has been shown to cause significant cytotoxicity in human cancer cells and experimental models. NSC 75968 inhibits the activity of the voltage gated L type calcium channels in tumor cells, leading to a reduction in cellular energy metabolism and a decrease in ion flux through the cell membrane. This agent has also been shown to inhibit receptor activity by binding to an allosteric site on the alpha subunit of the G protein coupled receptor.
