Description

1,3-Dimethoxy-2-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate is an ionic liquid that has been shown to be a potential electrolyte for electrochemical energy storage. It is stable under ambient conditions and can be used in temperatures ranging from -30°C to 60°C. 1,3-Dimethoxy-2-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate has been shown to exhibit high electron transfer rates at low applied potentials and shows no evidence of a coulombic efficiency plateau. The electron transfer rates are also very high at a temperature of 80°C, showing no signs of degradation after 10 cycles.
