PRN1371 is a novel, small molecule compound that inhibits the activity of cyclin-dependent kinases 4 and 6 (CDK4/6). It is a selective inhibitor of CDK4/6 that has been shown to inhibit tumor growth and metastasis in experimental models. PRN1371 has demonstrated an ability to inhibit tumor growth by targeting the CDK4/6 pathway, which is important for cell cycle progression. This agent also interacts with hydrogen bonds, which may contribute to its selectivity. PRN1371 binds to the protein target with high affinity and specificity.
PRN1371 is currently being studied in phase II clinical trials for pediatric patients with bladder cancer.
