Description

Rimantadine is an anti-viral drug that is used for the prevention of influenza A infection. This drug is an RNA synthesis inhibitor and exerts its effects on the viral replication cycle. Although not fully understood, it is said that the M2 gene may play a role in Rimantadine susceptibility.
