Description

Sertraline is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) that is used to treat major depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder, and premenstrual dysphoric disorder. This drug inhibits the reuptake of serotonin which results in an increased synaptic concentration of serotonin in the CNS.
