Description

Eupaglehnin C is a natural product isolated from the leaves of Eupatorium senegalensis. It has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on phosphatase activity in vitro. The compound was found to be a potent inhibitor of protein tyrosine phosphatase 1B (PTP1B) and a weak inhibitor of protein tyrosine phosphatase 1A (PTP1A). The compound also exhibited dichroism and spectroscopic data that were different from other known plant products.
