Ethyl 1-(2-aminoacetyl)piperidine-3-carboxylate hydrochloride is a receptor binding agent that belongs to the group of quinoline derivatives. It is an organic solvent and has been shown to have anticancer activity. Ethyl 1-(2-aminoacetyl)piperidine-3-carboxylate hydrochloride binds to tropomyosin and inhibits the interaction of this protein with actin, thereby preventing the formation of the actin filament. This drug also has antiinflammatory properties, which may be due to its ability to inhibit fatty acid synthesis.
