Description :
4,4'-(E)-Diazene-1,2-diyldiphenol belongs to the group of polyethers and is a monomer. It has been synthesized by the reaction of an azobenzene with an oxetane in the presence of an acid catalyst. The process takes place in a solvent and is completed in two steps. The first step is a transfer reaction, followed by a dehydration step. This compound has high thermal stability and can be used as a monomer for polymerization reactions.
