Description

2-Phenylethyl)urea is an amide that is a potent and selective antagonist of the adenosine receptor. This agent has been shown to be effective in animal models of inflammatory bowel disease, diabetic neuropathy, and infectious diseases. 2-Phenylethyl)urea is also a competitive antagonist at the integrin receptor which blocks the binding of TNF-α. 2-Phenylethyl)urea has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties and may be useful in treating bowel disease, diabetes, and infections.
