Description

2-(dimethylamino)ethyl acrylate is a monomer that belongs to the group of acrylates. It is a reactive functional group with a hydroxyl group, which can react with other compounds such as diamine tetraacetic acid and acrylates to form polymers. 2-(Dimethylamino)ethyl Acrylate (stabilized with MEHQ) has been shown to be stable in high salt environments, which means it can be used for the production of polymers in salt water. The reaction solution of 2-(dimethylamino)ethyl acrylate should be neutral or slightly acidic, and should contain sodium citrate as a buffer. This compound also reacts with nitrogen atoms to form an amine-containing polymer by reacting with ethylene diamine.
