Description

2-(Methyl(p-tolyl)amino)ethanol is a monomeric, promotor, phosphorus, methacrylic, phosphate ester. It has an ester group that can be hydrolyzed to form methacrylic acid and acrylic acid. This molecule is also a precursor for the production of methacrylic acid by condensation with benzaldehyde. 2-(Methyl(p-tolyl)amino)ethanol is used in the synthesis of acrylic resins and copolymers.
