Description

2-(6-Methoxynaphthalen-2-yl)prop-2-enoic acid (metolachlor) is a nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drug that is used to treat pain and inflammation in animals. It has been shown to inhibit the production of prostaglandins and leukotrienes, which are inflammatory mediators. Metolachlor is an organometallic compound that has been shown to chelate metal ions such as chlorine atoms and diphosphine ligands. This antibiotic also has a high solubility in organic solvents, which makes it easy to mix with other compounds. Metolachlor contains phenyl groups, which are functional groups that react at a faster rate than other types of molecules. This product also contains ruthenium complexes, which are solid catalysts that promote reactions between two or more substances.
