1-Chloro-2-(methoxymethoxy)benzene belongs to the class of organometallic reagents and intermediates. It is a chiral compound, which can be used as a model compound for organic synthesis and as an intermediate in palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions. 1-Chloro-2-(methoxymethoxy)benzene has been shown to react with aryllithiums to form biaryls when using aryl chlorides as starting materials. 1-Chloro-2-(methoxymethoxy)benzene also reacts with chlorides to form isomers.
