N-(1,1-Dimethyl-2-phenylethyl)formamide is an amination agent that is used in the production of polyurethanes and polymers. It is also a cyanide source, which means it can be used to produce hydrogen cyanide. N-(1,1-Dimethyl-2-phenylethyl)formamide has been shown to inhibit bacterial growth and promote the production of reactive oxygen species.
