L-Phenylalanine-luteinizing hormone-releasing factor (LHRF) is a peptide that acts as a neurotransmitter in the brain. It is found in the hypothalamus and other parts of the brain and stimulates the release of luteinizing hormone and follicle-stimulating hormone. LHRF also has antioxidant properties and can be used to treat autoimmune diseases, cancer, HIV infection, and mismatched collagen. LHRF is a potent estrogen receptor modulator that may be used cosmetically or for hormone replacement therapy.
