Description

Azd1981 is a novel small molecule that is being developed as a chemotherapy agent. It has been shown to inhibit the production of cysteinyl leukotrienes (CysLTs) by binding to the CRTH2 receptor and inhibiting its activation. Azd1981 has also been shown to be active against cancer cells in the presence of microspheres, with its efficacy depending on the type of cancer cell. Azd1981 has also been shown to be an inhibitor of respiratory diseases such as asthma, bronchitis, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The drug's efficacy in these cases may be due to its ability to block leukotriene receptors.
