Description

IL-4 is a protein that regulates the proliferation, differentiation, and activation of cells in the immune system. IL-4 is an activator of the receptor on T cells, B cells, monocytes, macrophages, and mast cells. It also has the potential to regulate ion channels and may have a role in cell biology. The IL-4 Mouse is a Research Tool that can be used to study IL-4 interactions with other proteins. This mouse model has been engineered to produce high levels of human IL-4 in order for research studies to be conducted on the effects of IL-4 on various cell types.
