Description

3,9-Bis(2-cyanoethyl)-2,4,8,10-tetraoxaspiro[5.5]undecane is a drug that has been designed to target the amino acid sequence of a protein called p53. It is an indian drug and it is used in the treatment of urothelial cancer. The patient population for this drug is people with urothelial cancer who have been treated with radiation therapy and chemotherapy. This drug also has the ability to block DNA repair processes by inhibiting DNA polymerase alpha, which prevents replication of damaged DNA during cell division. This process may be useful for cancer treatment because it can lead to apoptosis (cell death).
