Description :
1-Nitromethyl-1-cyclohexanol is an alcohol that can be synthesized from nitroalkanes and sodium salts. It is an efficient method for the synthesis of β-unsaturated aldehydes, which are used in the production of pharmaceuticals and other organic compounds. In this process, 1-nitromethyl-1-cyclohexanol reacts with carbonyl groups to form imines, yielding a chiral product.
