Informations sur le produit
4-Ethylnicotinonitrile is a chemical compound that is an inhibitor of pyruvic acid, lactate and oxalate. It is used in the synthesis of 4-ethyloxazolidin-2-one. 4-Ethylnicotinonitrile has been shown to inhibit the production of lactate dehydrogenase and to reduce the activity of lactate dehydrogenase. It also inhibits the conversion of oxalate to carbon dioxide and water by competitively inhibiting condensation with pyruvic acid. The inhibitor may be hydrolyzed by hydrolysis or oxidized by oxygen in the presence of hydrogen peroxide, yielding ethyl nitrite as a product. In addition, it can react with diethyl oxalate to form diethyl 4-ethyloxazolidin-2-one, which is used as an intermediate in organic synthesis.
