1,3-Bis(3-carboxypropyl)tetramethyldisiloxane is a lipase that has been immobilized on silica gel. It can be used for the analysis of unsaturated fatty acids and for the determination of their kinetic parameters. The compound is also useful in the analysis of polyesters and polyamides, which are important materials in the textile industry, as well as the study of kinetics. 1,3-Bis(3-carboxypropyl)tetramethyldisiloxane is an acceptor and a carboxylate. It has a vapor pressure of less than 0.01 mmHg at 25°C and a melting point of less than 5°C. This compound can be used at temperatures up to 230°C and shows no magnetic behavior. 1,3-Bis(3-carboxypropyl)tetramethyldisiloxane has
