Description

3,5,5-Trimethyl-1-hexanol is a colorless liquid with a pleasant odor. 3,5,5-Trimethyl-1-hexanol can be found in many natural sources. It is an aromatic hydrocarbon that contains three hydroxyl groups and five carbon atoms. This chemical has been shown to exhibit toxicity in animal studies and also have negative effects on the environment. 3,5,5-Trimethyl-1-hexanol is used as a raw material for the production of polycarboxylic acids and sodium salts. It has also been used in coordination complexes to study its properties. The molecule contains three alcohols and one polybasic group.
