Description :
Furfuryl methacrylate is a monomer that belongs to the glycol esters. Furfuryl methacrylate is used in the production of polymers and it can be polymerized thermally or by reaction with another chemical, such as an acid. The polymerization of furfuryl methacrylate can be modeled using kinetic data and FT-IR spectroscopy. Furfuryl methacrylate has been shown to react with other chemicals to form polymers, which may have an effect on the solute concentration as well as the polymerization mechanism.
