1-Benzoyl-4-oxo-nipecotic acid methyl ester is a drug that inhibits the activity of the mineralocorticoid receptor. It has been shown to reduce blood pressure in animal models and may be useful for treating chronic kidney disease, metabolic disorders, and eye disorders. 1-Benzoyl-4-oxo-nipecotic acid methyl ester has also been shown to be active on cardiac cells and to have growth factor activity.
