Informations sur le produit
Ethyl 4-hydroxycyclohexanecarboxylate is a chemical compound that is the trans-isomer of ethyl cyclohexanecarboxylate. It has been shown to be an effective serotonin receptor agonist in vitro, and may have therapeutic potential for the treatment of anxiety disorders. The biological properties of this compound are similar to those of 5-HT1A serotonin receptor agonists like buspirone and 8-OHDPAT. A profile study on the acceptor binding site has shown that it binds as a competitive antagonist at this site with an affinity similar to that of perhexiline. Functional groups include a hydroxyl group, which is responsible for its activation energy, as well as a carboxylic acid group, which leads to its pharmacokinetic properties.
