(S)-Phenprocoumon is a potent inhibitor of kinases that has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells. It is an analog of warfarin and is used in Chinese medicine to treat various diseases. (S)-Phenprocoumon has been demonstrated to induce apoptosis in cancer cells by inhibiting the activity of specific kinases involved in cell proliferation and survival. Additionally, this compound has been found in urine and can be used as a biomarker for anticancer therapy. The protein geniposide has also been identified as a potential target for (S)-Phenprocoumon, suggesting its potential use as an anticancer agent.
