Cyclohexylmethylhydrazine (CHM) is a drug that has been shown to be effective against autoimmune diseases and hyperproliferative disorders. It inhibits the proliferation of cells by binding to the surface of cells, inhibiting the growth of cancerous and inflammatory cells. CHM has been shown to inhibit the growth of pest insects such as dendroctonus ponderosae by preventing cell division and increasing apoptosis rates. This drug also prevents stenosis in rats by reducing inflammation and widening blood vessels in an animal model. CHM binds to serotonin reuptake inhibitors, which are used for relieving depression, anxiety, or obsessive compulsive disorder.
