Description :
3-Nitrophenyl p-Toluenesulfonate (3NPT) is a hydroxyl compound that is synthesized by the reaction of nitric acid with p-toluenesulfonic acid. 3NPT is used as a synthetic intermediate in the production of other compounds, such as pharmaceuticals and dyes. 3NPT can be used to modify the activity of enzymes, for example by increasing the stability of certain enzyme complexes or by altering the interaction between an enzyme and its substrate.
