Description :8-(Diphenylphosphanyl)quinoline is an organometallic compound that is synthesized from the reaction of diphenylphosphine and quinoline. 8-(Diphenylphosphanyl)quinoline has been shown to bind to a number of metal ions, with coordination geometry that includes bidentate ligands and chelate rings. This compound also undergoes reductive elimination, which involves the breaking of a C-C bond in order to form two new bonds. The synthesis of 8-(diphenylphosphanyl)quinoline is accomplished by reacting allylsilanes and acetonitrile with ruthenium.
