Description :
(1R-Cis)-decamethrinic acid is a monocarboxylic acid that is structurally similar to the natural product chlorate. It is an intermediate in the synthesis of (1S,2S,3S)-decamethrin, which is used as an insecticide. (1R-Cis)-decamethrinic acid has been shown to bind to a specific antibody and has shown kinetic properties in chrysanthemum leaves. This compound can be synthesized by a relatively simple process involving the reaction of cyclohexane ring and hydroxy methyl groups with hydrogen chloride.
