Description

(1R)-(-)-Thiocamphor is an organic chemical compound with tetradentate properties. It is synthesized by the condensation of ethyl chloroacetate and acetaldehyde in the presence of potassium hydroxide. (1R)-(-)-Thiocamphor has a high boiling point, enabling it to be purified by distillation. It can also be purified by liquid chromatography, which separates it from other compounds based on its physicochemical properties.
