Informations sur le produit
2-Hydroxy-2-(thiophen-2-yl)acetic acid is a cyclic peptide that belongs to the class of aliphatic hydrocarbons. It is used as a cross-linking agent in the production of polypeptides and proteins. 2-Hydroxy-2-(thiophen-2-yl)acetic acid has been shown to inhibit HIV infection by binding to the viral envelope glycoprotein gp120 and preventing its interaction with CD4 receptors. 2HTA also inhibits influenza virus replication by interacting with hemagglutinin, which is an important surface protein on the virus. This chemical compound has also been shown to have antiplasmodial activity against the protozoan parasite that causes malaria.
