Description :
1-(2-Chloroethyl)piperazine is a radioreceptor antagonist that has been shown to be active at the benzotriazole, antihistaminic, and antiserotonergic receptors. It also inhibits chloride channels, thereby producing analgesia. 1-(2-Chloroethyl)piperazine has been shown to have high affinity for the H1 receptor, but does not show affinity for other histamine receptors. 1-(2-Chloroethyl)piperazine has in vitro activity against both 5HT and 5HT receptors. This drug does not appear to have any effect on the muscarinic acetylcholine receptor.
